The exam kits, worth over $1.1M, are suitable for use by students on all USF campuses

Tampa-based healthcare startup Verséa has provided a large number of diagnostic COVID-19 test kits towards the College of Florida to be used by students on the 3 campuses. This gift – worth over $1.a million – aligns with Verséa’s and USF’s shared dedication to supporting the event and health from the Tampa Bay community.

Petersen, who also can serve as senior affiliate v . p . of USF Health, interim affiliate vice provost for student overall health, and dean of USF’s College of Public Health, added the university’s Student Health Services team is partnering with offices over the three campuses to obtain these home test kits into students’ hands to rapidly determine whether any signs and symptoms they’re experiencing result from COVID-19.
“If positive, students knows immediately that they must stay at home, seek guidance from Student Health, inform their instructors and steer clear of social gatherings,” she stated. “All of the will facilitate use of needed care which help avoid the further spread of COVID-19 on the campuses. We’re grateful with this gift because it allows us to keep our campuses safe.”
