Kyler Murray away from COVID-19 – NBC Sports

Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has returned around the practice field.

Murray came back to training camp today after missing 5 days while he tested positive for COVID-19.

Under 2010 National football league rules, players must miss a minimum of 5 days once they test positive for COVID-19. There’s no mandatory testing of players, therefore the only players who get tested is going to be individuals who report they’re feeling signs and symptoms.

It’s been an eventful training camp for Murray, who signed a lucrative contract extension which was immediately overshadowed through the bizarre “homework clause” that determined the length of time Murray would spend studying film. Following a backlash, the Cardinals decided to take away the clause in the contract.
