Ashtabula, Lorain counties remain red for top COVID-19 spread on CDC map for Sept. 22 masks advised – cleveland.com


CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cuyahoga County and many of Greater Cleveland continued to be yellow, or designated as getting medium COVID-19 transmission around the latest U.S. Cdc and Prevention map.

For that third week consecutively, Ashtabula and Lorain counties were the only real Northeast Ohio counties classified red, for top COVID-19 transmission. The CDC map was updated late Thursday.

Other nearby counties designated red incorporated Erie, Huron, Sandusky and Ottawa.

Individuals red counties rich in transmission are advised through the CDC to put on masks inside. Counties are thought to possess high transmission levels whenever a community’s coronavirus circulation could overwhelm local hospitals.
